“Chicken Little” and the news from 1922 OR it pays to dig deeper

Chicken littleOriginally I posted this and I would like to thank one of my readers for showing me the last two lines were an inaccuracy.  As a result I dug deeper and found a copy of the original article.

It really does pay to dig as deeply as possible and try to find the original source so as not to be caught out by fake news.

Judging by the news since New Year, 2018 will be full of claims of “record weather events” caused by “global warming.”  Is it true, or is it an agenda?

Here’s a news report from 1922:

“The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in
some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report
to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consulate, at Bergen, Norway

Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone.

Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north
as 81 degrees 29 minutes.

Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm.

Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones,
the report continued, while at many points well-known glaciers have entirely disappeared.

Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north are being encountered.

The above part is true.  You can read the entire article by clicking on the Anchorage Daily Times.

The part in red had been added to it, which I retract.

Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coastal cities uninhabitable.”

The report was from November 2, 1922, as reported by the AP and published in The Washington Post – 96 years ago.

This must have been caused by the Model T Ford’s emissions.

Why is fake news always bad?  Here’s the good news:

Despite What You’ve Heard, Global Warming Isn’t Making Weather More Extreme.

Extreme Climate Change: The 1933-1938 Period Was One of Very Severe Weather Events, Including Global Heat Waves.

Taxpayer funded climate-doomsday scientists and the mainstream media ambulance chasers perpetuate the myth that today’s severe weather events are a result of human-CO2 caused extreme climate change – actually, today’s bad weather seems rather mild to similar events decades before large human CO2 emissions.

My advice, turn your TV off and don’t be myth-taken.  I wish you all the best for the New Year.  Here’s some wisdom from the Bible:

“As long as the earth endures,
seedtime and harvest,
cold and heat,
summer and winter,
day and night
will never cease.” Genesis 8:22 (NIV)

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ – Colossians 2:8.

Withdrawing from Paris Agreement helps the poor

Whatever we feel about Trump, I heartily agree with him keeping his election promise in pulling the US out of that Paris Climate rort, and wish my country would do the same.  Why?  This rotten deal is nothing but U.N. wealth redistribution.

NZ is a small nation of 4 million people, yet we are going to spend 1.4 billion dollars  per year on this rort  Enron type agreement.  It’s money we don’t have!  I know because last year the government talked about borrowing a billion to build badly needed housing.

People in NZ ask, to who our wealth would be going?  It seems the United Nations Green Climate Fund.  Who is in that?

Do you think the third world governments, dictators and crony capitalists like Al Gore really give a stuff about the environment?

One of the projects was a dam in Nepal, where they want to generate electricity for export to energy-hungry India.  Nepal and China-based Zhejiang Hydropower Construction and Installation Co will get the money, and India will get the power – at the cost of the environment and other nations.

Ironically, green groups are against the dams.  Well, they shouldn’t have supported the climate hysteria which is enabling this wealth heist.
Green groups condemn UN plan to use $136m from climate fund for large dams
Here’s why we should demand that our governments get out of this deal,

  1. The Paris agreement raises energy prices
  2. Regulations promulgated under the aegis of the Paris Agreement increase prices and harm the economy.
  3. The Paris Agreement redistributes wealth from taxpayers to international corporations and less developed nations.

This blog article puts the case very concisely.
Care About The Poor? Why Withdrawing From Paris Agreement Helps Those Most Vulnerable
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this, for and against.

Elderly man who can only afford to heat himself with one bar of the heater, UK. Will the leaders who went to Paris be living like that?

What Egypt thought of Obama

Here’s a bit of (black) humour. It’s Obama prattling on about “climate change being their biggest national security threat.”  Seriously?  The weather?  It’s just as well he’s going.  I hope the US can bounce back from him.

Here’s what the media in Egypt thought.  It’s refreshing after the sanitised, air-brushed version of president Obama that we’re presented with in the news.

Here are some of the comments:

“Is he insane?”

“He’s on drugs?”

“What do you expect from an affirmative action president?  He never served in the military, nor worked a day in his life.”

“Did you see that video of him working out?  My daughter has bigger biceps than him!”

“America is getting weaker by the day under this president.”

“Look what he did in Libya.  It’s all part of his plan.

“Your enemies no longer fear you. And your allies no longer trust you!”

Former Australian Politician Ann Bressington EXPOSES UN’s AGENDA 21

Have you ever heard of the Hegelian Dialectic?  It’s what the Technocrats use to advance their agenda.  They …

  • create a problem (for instance, “Global Warming” – now called “Climate change”),

transformation

  • cause a reaction,
heads-in-sand

Four hundred Australians protesting their Prime Minister’s stance on global warming, Nov 2014.

  • and present a solution – “Agenda 21” (now metastasized into Agenda2030).

agenda-21

See if you can find it here in Ann Bressington’s speech, where she warns of the effect it is having on Australia.

(Reblogged from Rangitikei Environmental Health Watch)

tenkingdomsbeast“The origins of the environmental movement as we see it began back in 1968 when the Club of Rome was formed.  The Club of Rome has been described as a crisis think tank, which specializes in crisis creation.  The main purpose of this think tank was to formulate a crisis that would unite the world and condition us to the idea of global solutions to local problems.

… … All these dangers, of course, will be caused by human intervention that will require a global response.” That’s the origin of global warming, ladies and gentlemen.

Agenda 21

The words “Agenda 21”, ladies and gentlemen, were never meant to be spoken, and if they were, then of course it would be dismissed as a Conspiracy Theory, because if people knew Agenda 21 and what it stood for, there’s plenty of information out there where they could actually learn what the end game was, and governments didn’t want that to be known.

… Agenda 21 is about controlling every aspect of our lives: How we eat, what we eat, how much we eat, how we move around, food production, the amount of food and where we even live.

… Agenda 21 seeks to establish a mechanism for transferring the wealth from citizens to the Third World. Fear of environmental crisis would be used to create a world government and UN central direction” – Dixy Ray, former Washington State Governor and Asst. Secretary for Oceans and International Environmental & Scientific Affairs.

“Individual rights will have to take a back seat to the collective” – Harvey Ruvin, Vice Chair of the Wildlands Project.

Participating in a UN-advocated planning process would very likely bring out many of the conspiracy-fixated groups and individuals in our society.” And here we are. “This segment of our society, who fear One World Government and UN invasion, through which our individual freedoms will be stripped away, would actively work to defeat any elected official who joined the conspiracy by undertaking Agenda 21. So we will call our process something else. We will call it comprehensive planning, or growth management, or Smart Growth. We ended up with Sustainable Development” – J. Gary Lawrence, advisor to President Clinton’s Council on Sustainable Development.

“I first stumbled across Agenda 21 in about 2008, and quite frankly, my first reaction was to dismiss what I was reading, because I didn’t believe that any government in Australia would take us down this road. Then I began to see a legislative pattern emerging in Parliament which concerned me greatly, and I also […]

Who wants to be a carbon trillionaire?

https://steemit.com/climate/@corbettreport/who-wants-to-be-a-carbon-trillionaire Eat your heart out, Al Gore. Being a carbon billionaire is so passé now that we’re in the age of the $100 trillion climate swindle. So the real question is who (or at least which corporate front) will be the first carbon trillionaire? Will it be a carbon eugenics promoting Rockefeller or a global government […]

Watts Up With That?

London City Airport London City Airport. By Frans Zwart (http://www.airliners.net/photo//1776564/L/) [GFDL 1.2 or GFDL 1.2], via Wikimedia CommonsGuest essay by Eric Worrall

Black Lives Matter has gone Climate in a big way, with a protest which shut down London City Airport. London City Airport is a premium facility located in the heart of London, near one of London’s major financial / banking districts.

Black Lives Matter protest stops flights at London City airport

Flights have been cancelled at London’s City airport after nine protesters from Black Lives Matter UK got on to the runway and chained themselves together.

The airport said all flights were disrupted and that police were at the scene.

The sellout of NZ

Thanks to greed, poor planning and economic mis-management, we can kiss goodbye to dreams of home ownership and a quarter acre section for the kids to run around on.  We now have people living in cars – unheard of before the economic reforms of the 1990’s.

New Zealand now has the highest housing prices in the world, next to Qatar!

How did we get here? These are a number of causes; (1) Supply and demand, (2) Land restrictions under UN inspired initiatives like Agenda 21 and now C40, (3) Foreign banks creating NZ’s money, and (4) Economic mismanagement.

(1 and 2) The demand for land out-stripping supply. The Auckland City Council has been restricting the amount of land that can be built on. Our media haven’t reported on this – but in December the Auckland City Council signed up to the C40 Low Carbon City Group, a group of councils across the world that regard carbon as a pollutant.  Carbon is not a pollutant – but we won’t go into that here.  I’ve already addressed that in Carbon Con, another blog post.

The C40 dream is for “compact cities” where car use is restricted. Our councils were already restricting land for building on under Agenda21, but it will really ramp up now Auckland is one of the C40 cities. The plan is for high density housing where people walk, bike, or use public transport. How can that be good for families? Gone will be our own private backyards where children and pets can play in the summer, and log fires in the winter. Gone will be our cars and garages. Gone will be land ownership and privacy. Surveillance will be increased and energy use will be monitored by things like “smart meters”, another thing that has been imposed on us.

big_4_money(3) Foreign Bank lending causing housing inflation.  The other reason for inflated housing prices is bank lending. NZ’s banking sector is dominated by big Australian Banks – called “the big four.” New Zealand banks were sold to them in the 1990’s.  The big four are the ANZ, NAB, Westpac and Commonwealth Bank. These foreign-owned banks hold 90% of New Zealand’s mortgages.

They make money electronically out of thin air and then loan it to New Zealanders at interest. Our money system is still based on the printing of bank notes, and nothing has been done to stop them from creating electronic money in this fashion. The overseas banks do have to have reserves, but its not covered by depositors funds – it’s covered by the inflated price of the land from the bubble they’ve created.

The big banks make huge profits which are taken out of NZ. They win, property owners and speculators win, and our children and people on the lowest rung of the economic ladder lose.

I’ve just heard on the news that half of the house buyers in Auckland are speculators. There are no laws to stop speculation in the NZ property market. The speculators don’t even have to be NZ citizens. It’s morally wrong.

(4) Economic mis-management.  Finally, we don’t have enough builders. The National Party decided that ‘the free market’ would deliver all the industry training New Zealand needed,” effectively wiping out the old apprenticeship system in the 1990s. Wage subsidies for apprentices on block courses were abolished in 1991, leading to the huge trades skills-crisis facing New Zealand today.  Source: http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/PO0507/S00250.htm

What can we do? Here are my ideas.  Stop unelected overseas entities from stealing our wealth.

Put pressure on our local and national government to demand the councils get out of the C40 “low carbon cities” initiative. Our rate payers are not being looked after in this group, and rates have gone up and will continue to go up. Technocrats in the UN, carbon exchanges and overseas investors are the only winners here.

Ask for a change to the money system. Ask why we aren’t creating the money electronically and giving it to Housing NZ?

Join Positive Money NZ – they’re part of an international movement for money reform.  http://www.positivemoney.org.nz/

Demand that we reinstate building apprenticeships.

Stop speculators buying our homes. Make it so they can invest in forestry or commercial property – but make it illegal to speculate on our homes.

Demand our local and national governments use some common sense – something that has flown out the window with the neo-liberal reforms of our economy in the early 1990’s. Blind fools in our government have let “the market’ dictate business and economic activity here, without any rules around the banks or the investors – resulting in this mess. They’ve enriched themselves at the expense of our country and our children.

Don’t borrow from the big four Australian Banks.  Go to the Cooperative Bank, Kiwibank or the Taranaki Savings Bank – they are all NZ owned.

There’s also Liberty Trust, who provide Interest Free Lending from pooled money.

I’d love to hear what you think.
