Apostate churches want action on ‘climate change’ while Australia burns

Australia has suffered a devastating early bush fire season with fires across several states burning through hundreds of thousands of hectares.  New South Wales has been the most severely hit, with more than 1.65m hectares razed, an area significantly larger than suburban Sydney.

Of course the fires have been blamed on climate change.  Are the Australian fires unprecedented?  History would say otherwise.  Australia has always had devastating bush fires.

Hear the voice of a volunteer fire fighter:

“It is high time bureaucrats and politicians stopped blaming climate change for a bushfire crisis that is very much of their own making and is putting lives at risk.”

On Christmas Eve, former Australian leader Barnaby Joyce posted a word about the drought and Australian Bushfires on Twitter – which the media called ‘bizarre,’ but I agree with him.

“You don’t need to convince me the climate’s not changing – the climate’s always changing.  My problem’s always been how a new tax is going to change it back!”

He mentioned a higher authority at work, beyond our comprehension.  “Unless we understand that’s got to be respected, then we’re just fools – we’re going to get nailed.”

I wondered what the Australian Churches are saying about that.  It appears they’ve used their Christmas messages to preach about “climate change,” and put pressure on their prime minister to “take action.”   Even the media have called that disgusting.

They’re no longer preaching about sin and morality!

There’s a Bible proverb that says “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.  Proverbs 14:34

Laws based on the ten commandments protect a nation spiritually.  Have there been any laws made in Australia recently that might remove God’s hand of protection from the land?  In 2017 Australia changed the marriage covenant by bringing in same-sex marriage and now the abortion laws have been decriminalised.  New South Wales was the last state to do it, changing it’s abortion law on September 26th, 2019.   The bush fires broke out soon after in early October.

Is there a link between sin and disaster?  I’m not hearing it from the churches in Australia.

New Zealand is next to decriminalise it’s abortion law in line with the demands of the United Nations SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals.)  Will it be NZ’s turn to “get nailed?” God doesn’t bring disaster or delight in it, the Bible states what’s needed to heal the land in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14.

It’s up to you, Australian believers to stand in the gap for your land.  Prayer changes things.  I know you’re out there and we’re with you.

The Magi’s gifts – safeguarded for over 2000 years

gifts_magiHere’s something to think about when you’re opening your Christmas presents.  Did you know the gifts of the Magi, the wise men are intact and safeguarded in a monastery in Greece?

The custodian of the priceless gifts is the Monastery of St. Paul, one of twenty monasteries on the Mount Athos peninsula.

They were given to the Monastery by the widow of a sultan.

In the first century Mary gave them to the Jerusalem Church. They were located there until the year 400. Later, the Byzantine Emperor Arcardius translated them to Constantinople and placed them in the Hagia Sophia church. In 1453, Constantinople fell. In 1470 the daughter of the Serbian ruler George Brankovich, Maria (Maro), who was the widow of the Turkish sultan Murat (Murada) II (1404–1451), gave the Gifts of the Magi to the Monastery of St. Paul, which was Serbian until 1744. Despite the fact that she was the wife of a sultan she did not accept Islam and remained a Christian until the end of her life.

The gifts are gold pieces with the original frankincense and myrrh beads sown on to them.

The gold is in the form of 28 pieces of carefully engraved coins of different shapes. Each coin has a different design of different and complex artistry. The frankincense and myrrh take the form of mixtures in the form of 62 roughly spherical beads the size of a small olive.
